About

Thanks for taking the time to visit my page!

I’m a final-year PhD student in the labs of Dr Èlia Benito-Gutiérrez and Dr John Marioni at the University of Cambridge. My research is focussed on using single-cell transcriptomics to explore how genes are expressed across different species (see Research). I am funded by the Wellcome Trust through the MRes+PhD Mathematical Genomics and Medicine programme. Prior to moving to Cambridge, I completed an MEng in Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Bristol.

Alongside my academic interests, I am passionate about using technology to solve problems relating to public health and safety. In 2019, I co-founded Flare Technologies Limited with the goal of creating a wearable solution to reduce the time elderly fallers spent on the floor.

In my spare time, I enjoy playing squash 🎾, cycling 🚴 and going to live music events 🎶.
